Not Much to Report

Things have been pretty quiet as of late. There doesn’t seem to be much worth commenting on in the way of Apple news, life in HB is rolling right along, and Yasu continues to gain users, though there have been no donations for well over a month… (Was that subtle enough?)

I became in iPod statistic last week, purchasing the 20gb model from my local Apple store. All I can say is — I love it! Finally having all my music at the whim of my thumb is just way too cool. I didn’t realize just how big my blues collection was until I had the thing more than half way full. I’m listening to stuff I haven’t heard for a couple of years.

Last Saturday was the NSSA Nationals held at ‘Churches’ just north of the San Onofre power plant. Kyle had an early heat (6:30 a.m.) and wound up taking 4th. He had managed to hurt his right foot pretty good the week before when landing a ‘floater’ in the huge swell that rolled through, and it was still bugging him. His finish kept him from advancing, so we just hung out to watch the contest. There was some pretty good competition from up and down the coast. The swell cooperated nicely for the event too. As the tide came in, the waves got nice and hollow at about 6′ with a nice shoulder. I didn’t bring a board, but it was nice to sit and watch everyone else.
