The Big Move Completed

For the (2 or 3) regular readers, you’ll be happy to know that the move from point “A” to point “B” over the holiday weekend went as smoothly as we’d hoped it would.

The movers showed up Saturday morning with a huge truck (18 wheeler) promptly at 9 a.m. By 2:30 p.m., they unloaded the last item at the new house. I don’t know about you, but I think 5 1/2 hours is pretty darn good for a two man crew to move an entire house full of stuff. I know I couldn’t have done it half as well (or half again as fast) as they did, even if I had both arms. Definitely worth the price, $40 tip & six pack of Pacifico that it cost us. We plan to use them again when the In-Laws need to move this coming November.

Naturally, Pam has already unpacked most of the boxes and hung all the pictures. She was such a busy bee all weekend that you’d have a hard time telling that we’ve only been in the place a few days. All in all, the best move I’ve ever had to endure.
