Safari Tidy v 0.2.1 Released

06.30.06 | Software

If you do any kind of web development, and like to use Safari as one of your browsers to view the fruits of your hard work as I do, or, if you’re just one of those geeky types who like extra little add-on chachkies, then you’ll be happy to know that the Safari Tidy plugin has been updated to 0.2.1 for OS X 10.4.7 compatibility.

For those of you who aren’t familiar with what it does, it tells you how many html errors and/or warnings there are in your code (or the code of the page you’re browsing). You can easily focus in on the problems in your code so you can fix them quick, or you can see where other site authors are producing semantic html (or blowing it all to heck) and learn from their examples. I instantly found this tool to be indispensable in my budding web development career. I can’t recommend it enough.

It’s a pretty easy install, and best of all it’s free, though donations are accepted. So if you’re not using it, and you write html — even as a hobby — you should go grab this plug-in right away!
