Plane Jane Theme Updated to v2

Just a quick note to say that I updated my Plane Jane WordPress Theme to version 2 over the weekend.

Notable changes are a bug fix in the comment.php file that would break the DOM if there were comments to a post and the comments got closed later. I also cleaned up some of the CSS, tidied up other theme files, and changed the doctype from XHTML 1.1 to XHTML 1.0 Transitional. The doctype change makes the theme validate correctly for both CSS and HTML (since that’s VERY important now-a-days).

Next up will be making similar changes to Ala Moana, and then producing a 3rd theme (which promises to be the best yet) in the next week or two.

I hope all had a happy, healthy, sane and (somewhat)sober 4th of July, even if you don’t celebrate the "rebellion" with the rest of us Yanks.

    hola jim,

i like your themes alot! there is just one question: are your themes ready for widgets (eg. for the sidebar)? and if not: what about plans to make them widget compatible?

i had one other question but after checking your source code (style.css) i know now that the license is the gpl — what makes me happy, because i thought about another style for your great (frame)work. i hope i can start very soon and i will let you know about it.

    Hey Yoram!

Once I get everything tweaked and buttoned down with the themes, I plan to introduce widgets. From what I’ve read on them, I won’t be hard to do at all. But alas, the weather is too darn nice here in SoCal, so I’ve not really spent any time coding anything (I’m such a slacker…).

By all means, take my framework, have your way with it & let me know what you come up with. I look forward to learning from your talents.
