Yasu 2.6.3 RC1 Released

It’s been a wild day sorting out the changes, but we’re pleased to announce that Yasu 2.6.3 RC1 has been released for Mac 0S X 10.6 (aka Snow Leopard) compatibility. You can download the latest version either via automatic update in Yasu, or by downloading from the Yasu page directly.

NOTE: This release is not the final version, so be aware that there could be an issue or two lingering (though we’re confident there aren’t). So if you have any hesitation about using “pre-release” software, we suggest you wait a couple of days while the daring among us give it a spin before you update.

If you find an issue that needs to be addressed, please use the contact form on our site to let us know.

Yasu and Snow Leopard

With the release of OS X 10.6 (aka Snow Leopard) just around the corner, I thought I’d post a quick note for the benefit of those who might be curious if the latest version of Yasu is compatible with the latest offering from Cupertino.

The answer, as before when Leopard was released, is that I can’t be sure until I’m able to get my hands on the latest version myself, which won’t be until the 28th along with everyone else.

While I anticipate no major issues, there is always the unknown factor — which is why I am recommending that users hold off running Yasu on OS X 10.6 until I have the opportunity to ensure that those wily enginerds at Apple haven’t made some drastic change under the hood that would upset the balance of the universe as we know it.

As soon as I’m sure everything is safe, you’ll know it here first.

I really dig this photo…

Just a quick post to let those who use my Bogart WordPress theme know that it’s close to being released as a final 1.0 version (finally). I’ve updated threaded comments, made the content area a little wider (to accommodate Flickr images), and added jQuery drop down menus for child pages.

I should have everything tidied up by this weekend, with a release Sunday or so.

And you all thought I was dead…
