Yasu 2.7.6 Released

Yasu 2.7.6 has been released to the public. This new version addresses the following:

  • Fixed an issue where Yasu would not remove user cache files that had incorrect permissions.
  • Changed how Yasu logs errors so they’re easier to find in the log file (at the very end now).
  • When Yasu does log errors, the application will perform the final steps (restart, shut down, etc.) after user has dismissed the error notification panel.
  • The Cancel button on the run panel now disables as tasks are being performed, and re-enables between tasks.
  • Other small code factoring.

As always, the latest version can be downloaded from the Yasu page, or updated by selecting “Check for Updates…” in the Yasu application menu.

Yasu 2.7.5 Released

A minor update to Yasu has been released the fixes a bug introduced by changes made for Lion that prevented the app from quitting properly when the main window was closed.

Yasu Updated for Mac OS X 10.7 “Lion”

A Yasu update has been posted which addresses the handful of issues that popped up in the Lion system release. For the most part, very little changed under the hood, and Yasu still does what it does best as easily as it ever has.

One thing to note, if you try to update from within Yasu by automatic update and for some reason get an “Update Error – The update is improperly signed” error, then simply download from the Yasu page. I don’t know what’s going on there, but it’s probably something I did changing over to the new Sparkle update engine in the last update.

Yasu Updated to Version 2.7.3

It’s been a while, but Yasu has been updated to version 2.7.3. The latest fixes include:

  • Excluded “~/Library/Safari/LocalStorage/” path from browser history cleaning for OS X 10.6 since Apple stores pertinent info there now.
  • Added additional system kernel cache cleaning routines.
  • Added additional Safari History cache cleaning.
  • Changed to Sparkle Update Engine v1.5
  • Other minor UI tweaks

As always, it’s a recommended update for all users, and can be found on the Yasu page.

Yasu Updated to 2.7.1

For those of you still running Tiger, Yasu 2.7 was quitting at launch. So sorry about that. It seems the last time I updated Xcode, libraries needed to compile the app for 10.4 were wiped out.

I’ve fixed that and recompiled the app for 10.4 use. So, if you’re a Tiger user, feel free to download the latest version from the Yasu page.
