Boo hiss. The fun of those stickers outweighs their environmental impact. Seriously, who thinks including a couple of stickers in the box is hurting the environment?
I disagree with Gruber on this one. A “couple of stickers” discarded into landfill, multiplied many times over adds up. I’ve applied an Apple sticker once on the side of the toolbox in my garage. The rest have been discarded. Kudos to Apple for ending this practice and only making them available in Apple stores.
The bigger the web becomes, and the more power we’re given, the more some people feel the need to get back to a more intimate space, a space where things move slower, where connections and interactions are given time to develop.
For the young guy he is, I love the way Manu sees the web.
My new favorite monospaced font has to be Apple’s SF Mono. To my eyes, it’s super clean and legible. I’ve updated all my IDEs to use it after downloading and installing.
I’ll be shifting my online presence to my WordPress blog more over the next few months and use Micro.blog less. There’s a post explaining why I’m making the pivot in my drafts folder, but basically, it all comes down to having total control.

I was woken this morning at 2:18am by what must’ve been a dream where people were urgently calling my name to get my attention. Once awake, I was unable to fall back asleep. I’ve woken up like this before. I’m not sure what it stems from.
I had a great idea for my next WordPress plugin this morning while reviewing the hacks I’ve added to my own site’s functions.php file. More to come soon.
