While users continue to test OutPost, I took some time to give Cache Out, my browser cleaning utility, some love it needed.

Version 1.5.3 adds...

  • Clearing history in Chrome-based browsers now also removes the data they derive from it: address-bar suggestions, top sites, visited-link state, and AI history-search data.
  • Clearing history in Chrome-based browsers now also removes the encrypted copy of session data, so recently closed tabs and windows can no longer be restored.
  • Fixed Firefox and Zen history, favicons, and cookies partly reappearing after a browser was force-quit.
  • Clearing Orion history now also removes saved tabs left behind by older Orion versions.

If you're a Cache Out user, you should update. If you've not tried the app yet, give it a spin if you're the type who needs to clear browser cruft regularly.
