"content_html": "
I wrote a post back in January about falling into a creative slump, and that even when trying hard to climb out of it, I still felt like I was losing ground.
\n
I also said I found those times exhilarating and filled with potential.
\n
I, however, find myself in a different valley right now. I feel burned out, tired, and overwhelmed by work (mostly), personal obligations, and plain human nature. I've recently been let down by a few people I respected, and thought they felt the same. I was wrong. Like I said; human nature. I am not surprised, but I am disappointed.
\n
I also think I've burned a little too bright over the last six months with the different projects I've given myself. Sitting at the keyboard this morning, I just wanted to push it away. It almost felt like chains on my wrists while I was typing.
\n
I've not been getting enough exercise lately either. I'm sure this has a lot to do with how I'm feeling both physically and mentally.
\n
I think what's needed is a good outdoor solo reset, preferably on a hiking trail. I haven't been able to do this in a few years since my heart troubles began.
\n
Throughout my life, I've taken occasional one or two-day mini-sabbaticals where I'd get out and "touch grass" in order to mentally reset. I can't remember the last time I've been able to do that.
\n
So, believe it's time to step away for a little bit. I'll still be watching it all from the sidelines, but I'm going to be quiet for a spell.
\n",
