Second time erasing new MacBook Pro HD since I got it due to disk errors. Hoping I didn’t get a lemon.

Oh, how I long for the day that I never have to touch a v6 database again…

@StephenKnight I prefer ambient electronica for power coding sessions. Otherwise, I end up focusing more on the music than I do the work.

Funny how each time I reconsider hosting my email via Google Apps again, Gmail starts having issues. Someone’s trying to tell me something.

Rough day. FM6 testing server dies ugly. Now lunch truck has Diet Coke instead of Diet Pepsi, and the sunflower seeds are stale. What more?

I’m such a doofus. Clipboard history not a feature. It’s a new feature in 5. Disabled. Now my fat fingers are happy.

via Twitter Web Client

Discovered annoying feature. Hitting <cmd+C> twice really fast copies multiple instances to the Clipboard. Don’t like at all.

@RickMacMerc aren’t noisy neighbors the best? Mine partied until well past 2AM last night. Otherwise, a lovely Sunday morning here too.

Yesterday was older son’s 21st birthday. Family getting together for lunch to take him out for the “official” first drink w/ Mom & Dad.

@Faisal that followee with the bad avatar would be you…

Someone I follow has a corrupt avatar that keeps causing Tweetie for Mac to crash hard. Reverting to Twitterrific to find out who it is.

Unfixable disk error on new MBP meant wipe & clean reinstall last night into today. Good chance to start fresh. Cleared lots of old cobwebs.

New MacBook Pro up & running. Migration Assistant did a pretty good job at it. A couple apps had registration issues, but nothing serious.

@eastd Dude. I’m a bass player, I can’t multi-task. But I know where bread is buttered, so MBP can wait a day, though will be a distraction.

New MacBook Pro arrived 3 days early. Today is wife’s b-day too. What to do? Play w/ new toy, or lavish wife with affection & gifts? Hmmm…

@dwaynewright Saw Heart a couple summers ago when they started their comeback. Good gig. Also first big arena band I saw back in the ’70’s.

@xebrawerx re: SMC fan speeds - 4000 on plug (normal & charge), 2000 on battery. Keeps noise to minimum while running quite a bit cooler.

via Twitter Web Client in reply to xebrawerx

@xebrawerx MBP battery drain little changed in vs. 10.5. Using smcFanControl to keep heat to a minimum when on plug. Works OK.

The fact that MBP purchase is also a business expense makes for double points. Very nice.

Boss (wife) says I can get a new MBP today so I can pass current MBP on to middle kid who’s going to start taking design courses. SQUEE…

@stevebanzai You can ping @fnj for details of Flex developer. Not sure if it’s Adobe Flex though…

via Twitter Web Client in reply to stevebanzai

@xebrawerx if you’re looking for a little extra work, DM @fnj for details. I’m not an Adobe Flex guy myself, but it does look interesting.

via Twitter Web Client in reply to xebrawerx

We need a contract Flex developer. Ping me if you are one or know one? (via @fnj) @Aeon is a Flex developer I know of.

@xebrawerx Ouch! Haven’t had chance to run on batt only yet. Will give it a go tonight. Can say my MBP runs WAY hotter w/ tho.

Today just became day one of no coffee. Why I chose to do it, I have no idea. Warning: Loopy tweets may follow for a couple days.
