10 yrs ago - working at a job I absolutely hated, and was eventually fired from (a first), setting wheels in motion for the awesome present.

A typical New Year’s night here at the ranch… Pizza ordered, movie rented (from iTunes store), ready to simply chill at home w/ family.

Heh. Verizon is sending out “thanks for staying with us” emails now on upgrade. I don’t know why I find it amusing, but I do.

Props to @UberTwiter (Paul) for changing my Blackberry pin so fast on Christmas eve. That’s customer service, baby! So refreshing.

Verizon giving an early phone upgrade (LONG time customer). Can’t decide between Blackberry models. The 8330 or the 8530? Any recommends?

@CaliLewis think you can rename WP plugin to deactivate it temporarily.

WTF? Rebooted my Verizon Wireless Blackberry, and suddenly there’s a Bing “app” installed. Um, I’d prefer you ask me if it’s okay first VZW.

Simple fix to AppleScript droplet problem: Coerce file path alias into a text string before passing to the “open” command. Crisis averted.

Upgraded a machine to Snow Leopard. Now AppleScript droplet to open FileMaker 6 files en masse with admin password is broken. *sigh*

Spent the afternoon using Magic Mouse on a project. Gotta say: Pretty darned slick. Feels natural, and the scroll/swipe action is awesome.

Also, it’s no noisier on my bare desk than the corded Mighty Mouse I’ve been using. Cash well spent (along w/ DiskWarrior purchase).

via Twitter Web Client

Picked up a Magic Mouse today. Packaging not as hard to get into as others have complained about. Two pull tabs & the thing was in hand.

via Twitter Web Client

Think it’s time to pony up for DiskWarrior though. Must brave the rain & mall madness to make Apple store run. Maybe pick up Magic Mouse too

Drive zeroed. Restoring from backup. Thank god for SuperDuper! Saved my bacon many times over now. Best utility for the job IMHO.

@xebrawerx I hear DW will fix key out of order problem. Haven’t wanted to drop the $99. Have lost enough time to buy it 2x over I’d bet.

“Keys out of order” error on MacBook Pro again. Backup, erase & restore. There goes 3+ hours of productivty. Dang.

Got an awesome candy basket from client for holidays. If there’s one way to get more out of me, it’s to send Junior Mints. Nom, nom, nom…

Dentist visit this morning. He commented how much grayer my hair has gotten over the past 2 years. Thanks for adding insult to injury, doc.
