@xebrawerx Manually manage fonts (copy in/out in Finder). Don’t do DTP much anymore, so run very lean w/ type. Have used Font Book at times.

@xebrawerx Tried looking for font conflicts? Might have conflicting format of the same face installed? Helvetica Fractions always burns me.

@whitman2010 Thanks for your robocall during family dinner time. There’s nothing I like more than listen to political pandering while I eat.

Cold pizza & warm Mtn. Dew. The perfect breakfast for those who are dumb/stubborn enough to do their own taxes.

Wife let go from job she’s been at for 10 years, but we both couldn’t be happier. Was the most toxic work environment I’ve ever seen.

@xebrawerx Not a bad idea. Will add FontAgent (and others) to “the list” of things to consider for future Yasu enhancements.

Any users who calibrated their monitors: Have you had system weirdness, e.g. spontaneous logouts/crashes?

via Twitter Web Client

@xebrawerx Glad to hear you finally solved that Chrome issue! Good info to know too.

via Twitter Web Client in reply to xebrawerx

Looks like that 10.6.3 update might still be at least a week or two away, if not more. Another Genius Bar appt. made… http://bit.ly/ctpUX3

Still have spontaneous logout issues with MacBook Pro. Putting off taking in for diagnosis hoping OS X 10.6.3 update fixes. Hurry up !

Female co-worker complaining about bad date to male co-worker at length. Ladies: Guys don’t want to hear how lame other guys are. Ever…

Just compiled a great @Mailplane stylesheet based on styles from the Chrome “Better Gmail” extension. Once vetted, will share w/ others.

Giving an my old iBook G4 new life with Ubuntu Hardy Heron this afternoon. Easy install & update once I got WiFi working. Runs well.

via Silver Bird

Even w/ new HD, MBP got a sys freeze & keys out of order errors on reboot. Even my WinXP system isn’t this much trouble. I’m smelling lemon.

via Silver Bird

@usermac Really like Chrome now that I’ve found all the right extensions to do the work I want to do. Eliminated a few desktop apps for me.

via Silver Bird in reply to usermac

Now that I’m going “minimalist” for email (Google Apps), I’m more impressed with Google Chrome. Blowing Safari’s doors off in many respects.

Boring Friday evening. Nothing on the tube and computer is in middle of clean install. Think I’ll peruse that jQuery book on the bookshelf.

Love that I can copy a calc out of v6 field, paste it into a v11 field, and it’s reformatted. Seem to recall v10 didn’t do that.

Mixed day of blessing & angst: Employer profit bonus day for me, but wife just found out she’s being laid off from her job next week.

via Twitter Web Client

@billonfilemaker Not looked at it closely, but seems to be an issue w/ Mac non-modal windows that use the “folder grouping” paradigm, no?

via Twitter Web Client in reply to BillDoerrfeld

@AutomatingData Yes, all seem to work for me in WinXP. It’s OS X that’s inconsistent. Hopefully fix is on the horizon. Rely on it too much.

via Twitter Web Client in reply to AutomatingData

@AutomatingData @billonfilemaker Define fields reorder works as does script steps, but not Manage Layouts on OS X. Inconsistent all around.

via Twitter Web Client in reply to AutomatingData

@AutomatingData Yes, but not scripts themselves, which makes it even more a UI inconsistency that’s annoying at best.

via Twitter Web Client in reply to AutomatingData

@AutomatingData Tried every key combo to reorder scripts - not a one worked. I hate grabbing a (very) tiny icon to move things around.

via Twitter Web Client in reply to AutomatingData

@billonfilemaker Had to add a re-login script to a v6 converted solution of 50+ files. Nearly drove me nuts, I tell ya…

via Twitter Web Client in reply to BillDoerrfeld

WTF 11! Can’t reorder scripts by Cmd+Arrow U/D key in Manage Scripts window now. WHY? Big pain to drag 100’s of ‘em by mouse now!

Ah, a new hire in office next to mine… Am reminded of the “new fish” scene from Shawshank Redmeption…

Costa Mesa Apple Genius Bar comes through again. Replacing HD in MBP on the spot. Less than an hour to satisfaction. Very pleased.

Gah! MacBook Pro still having issues. At wits end. Must give to Apple for a week to diagnose. Hopefully can find the issue. Very bummed.

Making my way through my Tweetie feed, see I slammed everyone w/ a ton of “updates.” Sorry for that. Content move from one site to another.

@CampSoftware Don’t think that will work. Project on message doesn’t change if you update project list in MT, so smart folder still sees it.

via Twitter Web Client in reply to HalGumbert

@CampSoftware I do clear when complete. Usually name as “Project (Client)”. Not enough projects (yet) to get nutty w/ naming conventions.

via Twitter Web Client in reply to HalGumbert

@CampSoftware Use projects for all active w/ a Mail Smart folder, both sent & rec’d. Keywords when I want to tag a reminder/note to self.

@CampSoftware MailTags is good (had it a couple years), but a lot of mouse wrangling w/o MailActOn IMO. The latter really brings it to life.

via Twitter Web Client in reply to HalGumbert

Now that I’ve fully grokked it, MailActOn & MailTags with Apple Mail Smart Mailboxes has made project email correspondence insanely simple.
