Borrowing a page from Derek Sivers, here’s what I’m up to…

  • Still living in our little beach hut near downtown Huntington Beach. We talk about selling, but I just don’t know. Even as whacky as the city can be, I love being less than a mile from the ocean in an upscale beach town.

  • Diving into AI more. I’m warming to the idea of what it can do.

  • With the help of Claude Code, I’m building my own CMS that runs this blog. It’s amazing how quickly I was able to prototype and refine the project with the assistance of AI. Bow down to our new overlords…

  • Working on a macOS utility app for clearing browser data (cache, history, downloads, favicons, and cookies). Call it a “Yasu Lite.” It’ll support all major browsers. The goal is to make it a side project to learn more about SwiftUI.

  • Starting to think about what retirement looks like. I’m not the type of person who will spend their days on a golf course, but I’ll definitely need to be doing something. So, I’m getting my self set up to do a little Salesforce consulting on the side. I’ve got a few years, but it’s good to get it in motion now.

  • Continuing to rebuild my cardio fitness after my CABG X4 (quadruple open heart bypass) surgery on 6/30/2025, with a goal of getting back to SoCal hiking trails in the spring. I do a brisk walk of at least two miles every day. I’m feeling better than I have in a very, very long time.
