In a short demo, a man holds a book up so the camera in the AirPods can see the title. “With Visual Intelligence, your world becomes savable. See something you like? Just ask me to save it for later,” says the voiceover text.

I have no words for this if it’s real, apart from I know that I won’t be making a purchase myself. Consider this post my advanced opt-out to being recorded by anyone who does choose to buy the product. To me, the whole idea of it is icky, super-creepy, and not at all the Apple I once knew and loved.

Maybe a platform change is in my future… I hear Linux has come a long way.
