Hey, I’m Jim Mitchell. Saved by grace. I wrangle nerds, herd cats, and butcher code, though not always in that order. This is my place on the web to explore technology and simple living through the lens of someone who uses ellipses like punctuation should be optional... Indieweb is punk.

I love it when I’m browsing a random indieweb site and something about the design appeals to me, and then I suddenly realize “wait a minute, they’re on Micro.blog and that’s my mnml theme they’re using.” It’s cool to randomly see it in the wild every now and then, even without credit.

I did such a fantastic job of running the tech for the last company all-hands meeting that I’ve got another mothership executive reaching out to do the same for him next week. I think I’m going to have to add “Renaissance Man” to my resumé skills section the next time I update it — which will be never.

I added a related posts feature to my site this morning for entries that have a title. I really like how it turned out. The next enhancement is to add featured images for titled posts. Once that’s done, I think Clodd CMS is pretty close to feature complete.

Every morning it’s the same struggle when I wake: Workout, or work on my blog? Which do you think won today (and usually wins every morning)?

I just released an update for my OmniFocus Task Sync Obsidian plugin that adds compatibily with the new plugin search API available in v1.13. A more complete post coming soon.

I think it’s kind of cool I can kickoff a Claude Code session remotely to look for a bug I’ve discovered in one of my projects and then have it actually fix the bug, all from my phone. Scary times we live in these days folks, scary times…

I’m taking some PTO Thursday and Friday to go to Palm Springs with my wife for my birthday. That means everyone is wedging their meeting requests into Monday thru Wednesday. My calendar is quickly becoming a mess… 😵‍💫
