I’m working on adding a distraction free writing mode to OutPost in order to get maximum use of screen real estate on smaller devices. It’s working well in my own testing so far.

I love when a user takes the time to reach out and share an idea for one of my apps. Doubly so when it’s an idea I was already ruminating on. It validates that the idea was worthwhile. So, thanks @jen for sharing your idea to add a post date field to OutPost. Coming in releases soon.

Given the success I’ve had with OutPost, IndieKey.id, and Hugo, I’m sort of considering changing my blog setup to use it instead of my Clodd CMS. Sort of…

As part of the new OutPost TestFlight release, I also made a small update to the Mac app to keep it in parity. If you’re using it, you should check for updates to get the latest.

I’m still ruminating on moving my Mastodon account to the jimmitchell.social domain, adding extra accounts for my different apps. This might make it a worthwhile endeavor. I’m still not 100% sure yet though…

Okay… I’ve submitted OutPost for iOS to the App Store gods for review. Let’s all sacrifice an old iPhone 4 or iPod Shuffle to appease them. 🤞

I’m putting OutPost for iOS and iPad through its paces today before submitting to Apple for review. If you have any advice when it comes to Test Flight submissions, I’ll gladly take them.

I got the demo site that’s needed by Apple’s App Review team to evaluate OutPost set up today. Hoping to submit the app in the next day or two. Also, a Mac release is pending that allows users to choose a default post type for each site. You’ll even be able to set preferred post type differently between devices.

I hope to make it to one of the next FediForums. Sadly, not this one. Also, testing out the RSVP feature I added to Clodd CMS recently. 😁
