I’m foolishly taking another crack at getting the holder of the jimmitchell.net domain to sell to me. I’m not going to get my hopes up, but it’s worth a shot, because, why not, right?

I’ve been a paid supporter of BBEdit all the way through v15, but I think I’m going to try the “free” version 16 at work for a while to see if I’m missing anything locked by a license code. If there is, I’m sure I’ll update. Love the app that much. I’m sticking with v15 for home use in the meantime.

So yeah… I’ve decided I’m going to resurrect Yasu with a whole new modern take on the app. Huzzah!

I’ve made some serious progress on Cache Out over the last week, releasing v1.3.0 this morning. I’ve also defined a solid roadmap that will take me through v1.5.0 and beyond. It feels great to be developing a Mac app again.

I hit my first golf ball today at a team building outing. All things considered, I did alright. I think I might have to do it again…

I’m slowly making progress on my new Mac app, and am nearly at the point I need to reactivate my Apple Developer account. It’s a simple app really, but I think it might be useful to those who want to quickly clean up files for multiple browsers in one fell swoop. I know I’ll find use from it.

That feeling when a team gets all the way through that high profile project only to learn that a crucial operational step was never taken into consideration by anyone, making that cool new “time-saving” feature virtually unusable… 🫤

I made some really good progress on my upcoming Mac utility app today, so good I think it might be getting close to making a call for beta testers… So, I guess that’s what this post is. If you’re interested to know more, shoot me an email, which can be found on my site with a little effort.

My “promotion” and new team responsibilities were just shared with the broader IT group of the organization. And so begins a whole new chapter of wrangling nerds and herding cats…
